Blender Environment Build
An original 3D environment modeled in Blender from blockout to lighting — built to be walked through, not just rendered.

// the brief
Most environments are obvious asset-pack assemblies. I wanted a space with its own identity that still ran smoothly once exported — which means being disciplined about polycount from the first blockout.
// how I approached it
- 01
Blocked out the layout first and walked it before adding any detail.
- 02
Modeled custom props so the space didn't look like a marketplace scene.
- 03
Kept an eye on polycount and texture approach the whole way, not as a cleanup at the end.
- 04
Tested the export early — discovering scale problems after full detailing is painful.
// what I learned
- Original environment with custom models — no asset-pack look
- Clean topology and sensible scale for real-time use
- Learned more about lighting than any tutorial taught me

I'm happy to talk through what I did, share the files, or take on something in the same area.
